Welcome Jordan Redford to Klahaya!
In February 2026 Klahaya welcomes it’s new manager Jordan Redford.

From Jordan:
It is an honor to step into the role of Summer Manager at Klahaya Swim and Tennis Club. As a Northshore educator and a long-time member of the local swim community, I am excited to merge my professional background with my passion for the water. My wife, Sara, and our daughters, Carson and Teagan, are just as eager to join the Klahaya family and build new traditions with friends and neighbors. We feel blessed to live near where we both grew up in Richmond Beach and Edmonds and are thrilled to bring our children into the Klahaya community. Though they’ve spent past summers at a pool just down the road, they are eager to dive into life at Klahaya with their school friends and neighbors.
My journey in summer aquatics began at Innis Arden (IA), where I swam for 12 years before becoming a coach. During those years, I frequently swam with Coach Rachel—continuing a family tradition, as our mothers were teammates there as well. My final years at IA were shaped by Coach Tom, whose mentorship went beyond swim technique. He challenged me to lead, encouraged a spirit of fun through ‘creative team-building moments,’ and modeled what it means to serve a team. I am thrilled to reunite with them this summer, confident that our shared commitment to community and growth will guide my approach in supporting the Klahaya community.
My professional journey in aquatics began when I caught the ‘coaching bug’ at IA, which eventually led to coaching swim and water polo at Shorewood and, later in life, Bothell High School. I eventually moved into the manager role at IA for eight summers before taking a hiatus to focus on my teaching career and starting a family. Eight years ago, I returned to IA with my children in tow, and was able to introduce them to the world of summer swimming. Ultimately, I’ve found that I love managing pools because it allows me to facilitate the lasting connections that make a neighborhood feel like home.
Coming to Klahaya today feels like the right “next chapter” for my family. I have learned that while we loved our time at our previous pool, we were spending our summers away from our closest neighbors and school friends. I recognized how important it is to strengthen the roots we have established right here in this community. I feel incredibly lucky to work with the coaches, staff, board, and members to ensure Klahaya remains a hub of our community through all the fun, amazing, and even slightly embarrassing memories that shape us all into who we are. Everything I know about Klahaya represents exactly what I hope for my family. I look forward to ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming place for all our families to exercise, relax, play, and grow. Thank you for this opportunity, and I look forward to meeting you all poolside this summer!
