THINKING OF DEPARTING FROM MEMBERSHIP?
Each year some of our members decide it is the time to let go of their Klahaya membership. If you have decided to do so, we will miss you, but it’s easy. Just contact membership by the date set by the Board each calendar year and let them know you are ready to cancel.
For the 2024 season you must contact the Membership Director by February 15, 2024. After this date you will be responsible for the current year Dues & Assessments and any fees or penalties that may accrue thereafter. See Payment Policy Rules & Regulations for more information on this timeline and process.
*Reminder: Per bylaw changes in the summer of 2022, March 31, 2023 was the last day to be granted a 50% refund of your original initiation fee. After this date, the club will no longer be processing refunds for the canceling of memberships. See (BYLAWS 2.7)
THINKING OF TRANSFERING MEMBERSHIP?
Per bylaws, families may opt to transfer their membership to a child. You can transfer at any time!
Please note however, you are responsible for the current year Dues & Assessments if the Membership Director is not notified by the deadline the Board sets for dues payments each calendar year. You may transfer after this date, but you are responsible for paying dues on time and will be accountable for any late fees or penalties that may accrue thereafter. Also note, per the bylaw changes the season of 2020, there is a transfer cost of 50% of the current joining/initiation fee. The current initation fee is $5,000, so the transfer fee is $2,500. Dues and assessments are required to be paid prior to payment deadline or upon transfer thereafter (this includes late fees, if the account is not paid through the season by March 31, 2023.)
